Working from home is the new normal, and most people would not be surprised to meet a new person and find out that they work from a laptop in their house. However, while working from home is normal, most people don’t take advantage of the fact that this could really be done anywhere, provided you got the right paperwork in order. This got me thinking about where I would live if I could be working from home in any location and after doing some research on the world’s best locations for remote working, here are four of my dream locations for working from home.
Iceland
Whether you’re working from home or as part of a team in a warehouse or office, many Brits struggle with the fact that for a good portion of the year, it will be dark when you get to work and dark when you leave. This causes a rise in things like seasonal affective disorder, and can affect overall productivity and happiness. If you are somebody who is really affected by your exposure to sunlight, then Iceland could be a great place for you to start a new life where you are working from home, with some of the longest daylight hours ever to maximise your motivation and efficiency.
Australia
Britain and Australia have a long history with each other, and Brits moving across to Australia is definitely not a new phenomenon. Because of this, Australia is a great option for a country where you can pick up your work and start over without there being too many changes to take into account. Australia is English-speaking, which means no language barrier to overcome, and as soon as your feet touch Australian soil you can get straight to work, making this the ideal location for a no-fuss change of lifestyle and scenery. Dubai
When you think about taking a walk through the streets of Britain, you would be forgiven for picturing a drizzly day where your feet are getting wet. It’s not surprising, then, that so many Brits decide to take the plunge and move across to Dubai: not only is the change of lifestyle one that many people seem to thrive on, but Dubai has some of the least rainfall in the world, making it the perfect place to run away for a brand new start. Cape Verde

If you are looking to move elsewhere to start a new life where you are working from home, you need to ensure that you are not going to be struggling when you get there, which means a hard look at costs like rent and other amenities that you might need to get you through the work day.
